Mon bureau

Let me introduce you to what is now "my" office. I will share it later with our Corporate relations girl... We are a all-girls team and we would be glad to hire a male assistant :-)
Ok those are not really photos of the office but the outside of it. The location is mazing even though we are not on the main campus...
The 2 windows on the far right are "mine".

It's very exciting to be starting something new but... French universities are not necessarily a place where people like the "newness of things"... This week I spent a great deal of time harrassing people to get a charge number.

The story goes like this:
"Céline needs to order some supplies (we don't even have a stapler!). To order supplies you need to have access to a software. To have access to the software you need to take a 2-day class (yes it sounds scary). To register for the class you need to fill out a form. On that form you need to write the charge number for you department"
I don't have the charge number and I can't get registered without it. The people giving the course do not have the list of numbers. My service belongs to a VP so I ask the assistant for the number. She is new too, she doesn't know it and refers me to the person who was there before. I call her, she doesn't know what it is, refers me to an other person who refers me to yet an other and yet again. Eventually I was told that I needed to wait until Monday because I may not be able to have access to a number until January... I guess I can leave without a stapler...but lets hope the toner in the printer holds a while...

On the bright side... brace yourself and be seated you American folks... after a year here I'll get 11 weeks of vacations HA!HA!HA!HA! I love you too ;-)
