I am not sure how to translate "Patrimoine"...it's the stuff that belongs to France...mostly buildings.Every year France opens up the door to the building she has and where mere mortals can go.
It was this past weekend. I went to see the hidden places of my work site.
Since it used to be a cloisters, there is a refectory on site... not usually open. It was built during the 14th century.
Since it is still a medical school there is a medical pathology museum dating from the beginning of the 20th century... it was weird...lots of jars with stuff in it ranging from brain to "you don't want to ask"... It had a Victorian look to it, I enjoyed the nicely calligraphed labels.
For the occasion, Paris bus system put some old buses in service.
