what a week that was !

Yes it was quite a bad week for the world wide world but in my own little tiny world it was a sort of a good one.

Monday, I attended a concert by the Têtes Raides. A band about which I always had that sort of  "if I was in Paris tonight I would go to the concert".
Well, a few weeks ago, I saw a poster and booked tickets right away.
The video is not by me, but I am one of the many singing the chorus.

Thursday, for work I visited the National Rugby Center to meet with the French Rugby Association for a work event. I was lucky to watch te French national team train before their game against Wales.

Friday : that was the big day. I attented the Bal de l'Ecole Polytechnique to meet with major donors and alumni. As it is a traditional event, evening gowns are "de rigueur". It's the second time I am lucky to be able to go.I went with a professor as my cavalier. It was very handy to get drinks because moving around with a ballgown is not easy !
The evening started with a ballet from the Opéra. This year it was Coppélia, which was fun and light. After the show, there was a cocktail and diner. Obviously both were really good. During dinner we were entertained by a magician. He did the trick where he places a deck of cards between my closed hands and make the cards disappear... It was quite weird to be so close to him and not notice a thing !
